Allison ‘Ally’ Hickey, a licensed professional counselor and certified clinical trauma professional, is a passionate advocate for the emotional well-being of children and young adults, committed to providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support. Ally received her Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Messiah College. Drawing upon her experiences garnered from her work in school, partial and outpatient settings, Ally has cultivated a holistic approach to counseling that prioritizes individualized care and empowerment.

With an understanding of the diverse challenges facing today’s youth, Ally specializes in addressing a range of issues, including anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and the complexities of life adjustments. With a strong belief in the resilience and potential of each client, Ally tailors her interventions to meet their unique needs, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for exploration and growth.

Ally draws from modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and play therapies. This eclectic approach allows her to meet clients where they are and to adapt her strategies to suit their developmental stage, personality, and preferences.

In her work within school settings, Ally has been instrumental in supporting students as they navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of adolescence. Through individual and group interventions, she has empowered young people to build resilience, enhance coping skills, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their peers.

Ally remains dedicated to her ongoing professional development, continually seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. Ally is currently working towards her certification as an ADHD Professional. With warmth, empathy, and a genuine passion for her work, Ally Hickey is poised to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves.
