Rachel Flicker, MS, LPC

Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, offering telehealth sessions only. Rachel has been working in the field for half a decade and has experience providing treatment to children, teenagers, and adults. Rachel’s prior experience encompasses both outpatient therapy as well as time working as a school-based clinician, where she worked closely with the teachers and school administrators.

Rachel’s interest in counseling began in high school after being told by friends she was a good listener. Rachel began her pursuits with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology earned from Shippensburg University.  During her undergraduate career, Rachel spent time working in community mental health, where she recognized unresolved trauma as a common denominator in mental health concerns. As Rachel’s interest for resolving trauma grew, she sought a school that would enable her to focus her education on trauma. Rachel went on to complete her Master’s Degree at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. Rachel concentrated in Trauma Studies and is working toward completing her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Focusing on children and adolescents, Rachel has knowledge working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ* challenges, and self-esteem and anger management issues. Rachel utilizes a strength-based approach to support and treat the individual. Rachel applies an integrative approach of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness to fit the needs of the individual. Rachel is looking forward to developing a relationship with you based on trust, honesty, open communication, and empathy.
